2025 - Good news to start the year!

Hoffmann Propeller GmbH & Co. KG

Skycraft Propeller has been working and growing with Hoffmann Propeller since 1986. Given the continuously developing aviation market the Wurm family who were the previous owners and founders of Hoffmann Propeller, have decided to move away from the industry, although it is a shame to see the Wurm family leave the propeller business after many successful years. This does not mean the closure of Hoffmann Propeller! We are pleased to announce new ownership by ROSEN Swiss Holding AG. Skycraft Propeller welcomes them to a new aviation sector and we are looking forward to the exciting future ahead. Below you can read the official announcement of acquisition from ROSEN.

Hoffmann Propeller GmbH & Co. KG is pleased to announce its acquisition by ROSEN Swiss Holding AG.

Hoffmann Propeller GmbH & Co. KG successfully achieved the termination of the insolvency proceedings at the insolvency court due to the elimination of the grounds for insolvency.

With the acquisition by ROSEN Swiss Holding AG, Hoffmann Propeller will further strengthen its position as a leading provider of propellers and expand its capacity for innovation. The new shareholder also enhances Hoffmann Propeller's financial stability, which is now secured for the long term. The company's future prospects are highly promising:

• Expansion of the product portfolio: Hoffmann Propeller plans to broaden its product range and synergistically grow its existing service business.

• Increased production capacity: In the medium term, the company plans to establish modern production facilities at a new location to realize its growth potential.

Mark Hartenberger, who has served as the company's Managing Director since May 2024, has always believed in Hoffmann Propeller's future and successfully retained all key employees during this challenging phase. Through his conviction and leadership, he was also able to persuade investors of the company's promising outlook.

The entire Hoffmann Propeller team would like to sincerely thank you for your support and understanding during this challenging time. We are pleased to announce that we can now offer all our services without restrictions once again. Of course, you are welcome to send us your inquiries and orders - we are fully at your service and would be delighted to collaborate with you.

BOEING B-17G FLYING FORTRESS - “SALLY B”

Skycraft Propeller is proud to maintain the Hamilton Standard propellers on B-17 Flying Fortress Sally B which is the last remaining airworthy B-17 in Europe. Permanently based at IWM Duxford, she regularly participates in air shows, memorial flypasts and commemorative events as a memorial to the USAAF in Europe during WW2.

Since 1982, Sally B has been operated by Elly Sallingboe of B-17 Preservation with the help of an extraordinary dedicated volunteer Crew and Team.

The task of maintaining and operating a Flying Fortress involves a wide range of specialist skills and the dedicated Crew and Team have against all odds not just managed to keep the aircraft flying as an important educational and heritage asset for over 40 years, but continuously improve its condition.

Messerschmitt BF 109G-6 “Gustav”

Bruce Winter's stunning Bf 109G-6 was one of the highlights of the Warbirds area during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022, earning Grand Champion: World War II honours.  Mike Vadeboncoeur’s of Midwest Aero Restorations in Danville (USA) undertook the task after the 109G-6 was recovered from a lake in Russia some years earlier where it served as a WWII German Eastern Front combat veteran.  The Vereinigte Deutache Metallwerke (VDM) 9.12.087A propeller was overhauled & reconstructed by Skycraft Propeller and fitted with authentic replacement blades manufactured by Hoffmann Propeller in Germany.
