Our Portfolio.

Skycraft is a propeller engineering specialist whose applications span diverse market sectors in both military & civil aviation, and also marine & aerodynamic test installations.

These operating environments demand quite divergent design solutions although the performance and durability specifications remain of paramount importance across each sector. Skycraft is a strategic partner with Hoffmann Propeller working with their diverse product range and we have independent design and manufacturing capabilities to support our aviation heritage products.

Here is a carousel of some aircraft types whose propellers we supply & maintain;

LIGHT AIRCRAFT

The concept of powered manned flight from 1900 and the science of propeller design has not fundamentally changed - to convert rotary motion to provide propulsion force.  Advances in propeller construction has matched increased aircraft performance.  After rapid developments during World War I light aircraft have become an accepted mode of transport for commercial & recreational use, and for sport aviation.

Warbird

A warbird is a former military aircraft operated by a civilian organisation or by historic arms of military forces, such as the Royal Netherlands Air Force Historic Flight.  The name principally applies to piston driven aircraft from World War II which have been restored to flying condition.  Skycraft specialises in reconstruction of propellers from the United Kingdom, United States of America, Germany and Russia.

HOVERCRAFT

Hovercraft have the capability to operate over almost any flat surface including water, ice, desert, vegetation and flood plains. The air cushion and propulsion system of a hovercraft involve lift and thrust propellers which operate in a challenging environment. Hoffmann Propeller is one of the most experienced hovercraft propeller manufacturers serving civil and military customers worldwide.

Wind tunnel

A wind tunnel is used for aerodynamic testing to study the effects of air moving across vehicles. A wind tunnel consists of a large passage with the vehicle under test situated in the air flow. Air flows past the vehicle rapidly driven by a powerful fan system. Hoffmann Propeller has supplied the majority of the automobile manufactures with multi-blade fans for wind tunnels which operate across wide air speed ranges, humidity levels and temperatures.
